His faith was always real but not necessarily a personal relationship with God. At 26 he lost his job, so in 1989 he moved to Grimsby and started getting involved with children’s and youth groups. He got the idea for using puppets at Spring Harvest and after attending puppet workshops, Ian started Puppet Power Team. In 2006 Ian left his job to take ownership of the Ice House Christian Centre Grimsby. He continued with the puppetry but moved into manufacturing his own puppets with several employees.
